Join George and Liana for a 2-hour workshop unpacking and gently supporting you through burnout.
Whether it's stemming from your work in Mparntwe or a gradual build-up of exhaustion over time, burnout can show up as emotional depletion, disconnection, reduced capacity, and a nervous system that feels stuck in overdrive or shutdown.
This workshop is designed to support grounding, reconnection, and a return to embodied awareness. It is open to anyone, with a particular focus on those in helping professions who may be feeling overwhelmed, overextended, emotionally fatigued, and unsure of how to truly rest and restore themselves back to baseline.
About the Facilitators
George is a clinical psychologist who splits his time between working in town and out bush, as well as his own private practice. He is interested in the mind-body connection, and supporting people to be their best through a range of therapeutic approaches. He has a particular interest in supporting people to examine the pressures put on them by systems, familial beliefs, and culture. He is also interested in the therapeutic power of nature, and to this end, spends a lot of his time outdoors.
Liana is a trauma-informed, somatically trained yoga teacher who has been living on Arrernte Country for almost two years. She is passionate about the mind-body connection and integrating movement, breath, and reflective practices into modern mental health approaches. She is currently completing a Masters of Counselling and leads Special Education & Inclusive Practices at a secondary college. Outside of this work, she loves being outdoors, camping, and exploring nature to reset.
Our Approach
This workshop is guided by trauma-informed principles, meaning the workshop will be optional, invitational, and flexible. You are encouraged to move at your own pace, choose what feels right for your body, and engage in ways that feel supportive and safe for you.
