The Kangaroo Sanctuary | Sunset Tours

Our Kangaroo Sanctuary is a place to learn about and celebrate the beautiful and iconic Red Kangaroo.

Our guided sunset tour is a leisurely and educational walk through our Sanctuary's 188 acre wildlife reserve where you might meet the kangaroo characters from Kangaroo Dundee (BBC/Nat Geo Series) and many others.

Our Sanctuary is outside of Alice Springs | Mparntwe.

Our kangaroos come first, and because kangaroos sleep during the day we don't disturb them.

This is why our guided tours are in the late afternoon..just when our kangaroos are starting to wake from their day-time sleep.

Pre-booked Tours

Our Sanctuary can only be visited on a pre-booked sunset tour.

Public tours are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Our tour is 2.5-3 hours. No self-drive - we provide bus transfers.

CLOSED dates 2026: 18-24 May, 9-23 September. We are closed every summer (December, January, February).
